Kulap Vilaysack  00:10

SuChin Pak  00:15

And I’m SuChin Pak. I mean, let’s just get to our guest because this is a big one and we’re going to need every single juicy minute.

Kulap Vilaysack  00:25

That’s right, we’re gonna need every drop. Su, I’m so excited to welcome one of my dearest friends. She’s a powerhouse, an Emmy Award winning stand up comedian, the actress, writer, producer, author, she adapted her best selling memoir Bedwetter into a musical, which debuted last year at the Atlantic theatre, please Add To Cart, Sarah Silverman.

Sarah Silverman  00:52

What an intro.

SuChin Pak  00:54

Tell me she does that every time you walk in to meet her for coffee or hang out please.

Sarah Silverman  01:00

I you know she hasn’t in the past. I’m going to be honest, but I’m hoping that this is precedent.

Kulap Vilaysack  01:06

This is the beginning of a lot of loud heralding. Oh, Sarah.

Sarah Silverman  01:11

Finally.

Kulap Vilaysack  01:12

Finally, finally, you know a storied careers yours deserves to have, to let the people know to have a piper come forth before you enter.

SuChin Pak  01:26

The ring, it because it does sound like there’s a fight about to happen but in a good way.

Sarah Silverman  01:31

Kuku’s my hype man, hype person.

Kulap Vilaysack  01:34

Gladly, love to go on tour with you. We’ll leave the baby home.

SuChin Pak  01:39

That was quick. That is quick.

Kulap Vilaysack  01:42

High Five up top of just screaming you can jump it around, bounce it about and then straight to my hotel.

SuChin Pak  01:50

I am Sarah, I have had the pleasure of being on stage with Kulap where she did perform some sort of hyping to remember that way back when I didn’t know that that was going to happen. And I didn’t know that it would like be the wind under my wings. You don’t I mean, like when you have a hate person, a friend a BFF someone in your life. That esteems you so much higher than you could ever possibly esteem yourself. You don’t realize you know the wind? You don’t even have the gust that carries you.

Sarah Silverman  02:29

The first time I ever laid eyes on Kulap. She was being a hype man on stage at 19.

Kulap Vilaysack  02:36

That’s right.

Sarah Silverman  02:37

Acme Comedy Club

Kulap Vilaysack  02:40

For the Jimmy Pardo’s dance party. So a long, long time ago.

SuChin Pak  02:46

Wait Ku, so like this hype? Part of you, your personality? This has been something that you haven’t developed this. Is this something you’ve always been.

Kulap Vilaysack  02:57

Always had, Yeah, you underlying personality. And now I’m seeing it in my daughter. And that’s genetics. Her love languages hype meme.

SuChin Pak  03:08

I think it is.

Kulap Vilaysack  03:09

That’s right.

SuChin Pak  03:10

I think it is.

Kulap Vilaysack  03:11

Sarah, we like to ask everybody who joins us what type of shopper are you? Like, how do you add to cart?

Sarah Silverman  03:20

Huh?Well, I am now collecting a single cart. Like if at the same place over time, then I you know, I press Add to Cart, Add to Cart throughout the week. Then I make the purchase at the end of the week while was edits.

Kulap Vilaysack  03:40

So your thoughtfully curating.

Sarah Silverman  03:43

Yeah, I mean, just a little. Yeah. Just a little less, you know, um.

Kulap Vilaysack  03:48

Frenzy, manic behavior. Yeah, being mindful.

Sarah Silverman  03:53

You know, you can put anything in cart at any time. It’s when you press checkout. That you have to be accountable.

SuChin Pak  04:03

That’s when the man in the mirror pops up. Now, is it? Is it is it one cart? Are there many carts that are open? Because I’m interested in your focus, you know, on these carts.

Sarah Silverman  04:15

Okay. There are several cards. And if it is important to me, I will remember to not close it out because I also annually close everything out on my phone. But if I go oh, don’t close that out. You’ll lose it. You know, this was something that came from an say an Instagram ad.

Kulap Vilaysack  04:37

Sure. Yeah.

Sarah Silverman  04:39

Let’s just.

Kulap Vilaysack  04:40

For example.

Sarah Silverman  04:41

Correct. If it matters to me, I’ll leave it open. Right think about this a little longer. Of course. Then there’s the evil conglomerate of Amazon that I can’t quit. Can because I can’t quit it. I can’t it’s too convenient. And I am participating in the end of the end time. By bowing to this convenience.

SuChin Pak  05:04

Yeah, it’s the dirty secret we all have in our underpants.

Kulap Vilaysack  05:08

Sarah, I want to dive into your cart because this is this is peak, Sarah Silverman.

Sarah Silverman  05:16

Like I can I remember what I sent in I just literally sent like the last four things I bought.

Kulap Vilaysack  05:20

And it’s also like peak SuChin Pak as well. And so.

SuChin Pak  05:25

I’m seeing this for the first time

Kulap Vilaysack  05:27

Yeah. Venn diagram but a lot of crossover. Let’s start with Cocofloss, coconut oil and food infused floss. Okay, we’re taking up our flossing to another level.

Sarah Silverman  05:41

So Cocofloss was something given to me for my birthday by someone who knows me so well because one I don’t want presents. I don’t like that stuff. But she said, this is your gonna love this. And boy, was she right? That was one miss Amy’s V. It clings it grabs anything between your teeth and makes flossing as if flossing wasn’t fun enough. I floss in front of my magnetized mirror with the light on. I want to see it. I mean, it just gets everything. Sometimes I will. This is really disgusting. I might end the night with a handful of nuts or a maybe I have popcorn for dinner. I’m like this is just a win win because then I get to floss and see everything cling to that floss like it’s so satisfying. It’s disgusting. I wouldn’t want my loved ones certainly not my romantic partner to see this. But.

SuChin Pak  06:49

A post nut floss is.

Sarah Silverman  06:52

I mean.

SuChin Pak  06:52

I mean, thank you. It’s ecstatic it’s I too love a handful of nuts just in bed right about to fall asleep and I think God I gotta get to the cashews. I take a what’s your choice of not at night.

Sarah Silverman  07:07

I’m gonna tell you I there are certain things that are happening that I go is this something that happens? As you get older you get a taste? I am and I’m embarrassed to say the word because I don’t know how to say it. pecan.

Kulap Vilaysack  07:25

How do I hold on let me try to say pecan, pecans pecan. Do the same thing. I can’t Yeah,

Sarah Silverman  07:30

it’s like I get embarrassed when I say it. I go. I said right on like, I don’t know what’s going on. I am obsessed with pee. Pee cans pee and then I stop Yeah, pee. Pee can.

SuChin Pak  07:41

Pecan. That is not the nut that most people choose. it’s a it’s a meaty nut. Some would say it’s a juicy nut. And it’s can be juicy. Like it’s not a drying nut.

Sarah Silverman  07:54

Drying nut.

Sarah Silverman  07:54

Whereas like I very much was into a walnut phase, but I would get a sore throat. That’s a very drying nut. I love walnuts.

Sarah Silverman  08:03

What I’m doing lately, of course, a Marcona almond is also just my world. And by the way, if you’re Gelson’s shopper Don’t be fooled by the cheese section where they have a self packaged thing of Marcona almonds for like $22 right in the net aisle the exact same package in another eat the exact same amount of Marcona almonds is like $4.

SuChin Pak  08:28

Oh girl.

Kulap Vilaysack  08:28

You’re trying to get you know all those people who are like getting ready to go to the Hollywood Bowl and they need to make quick cheese platters and stuff. They’re just like.

Sarah Silverman  08:35

At night you’re gonna love.

SuChin Pak  08:35

Getting orders. Orders you, that’s not where we’re looking. Yeah, okay, so a pecan P E P can.

SuChin Pak  08:45

I already love it.

Sarah Silverman  08:47

Lean in what am I small bowls my little like tiny little.

SuChin Pak  08:51

Dainty. Just a little.

Sarah Silverman  08:53

A little small handful of Marcona almonds. I mean, you can’t get fancier now, handful of pecan, pecan. Then a small handful of either a dried cranberry or lately a dried tart cherry just a small island.

Kulap Vilaysack  09:12

Sorry. I am sorry lady Sarah one laugh sorry.

Sarah Silverman  09:18

One little disk of dark is shit chocolate that I take an very sharp knife and cut into many pieces. pieces, pieces and pieces sprinkled throughout, now I have the loveliest fanciest little nighttime snack. You could imagine.

Kulap Vilaysack  09:38

Night time trail mix.

SuChin Pak  09:39

The trails to bed. Now I’m not I’m not telling you how to how to do the side hustle in your life. I’m not telling you how to do the merge, but that needs to be packaged. It needs to be packaged. I can see the marketing for let’s say a mature person who loves all because that is the That’s that’s you’re hitting all the flavors.

Kulap Vilaysack  10:02

You’re sweet, you’re salty, you’re healthy.

SuChin Pak  10:05

And then, and then you get to nut floss all of that out.

Kulap Vilaysack  10:08

Yeah.

Sarah Silverman  10:09

And then you Coconut, Cocofloss it.

Sarah Silverman  10:11

And you experience it.

Sarah Silverman  10:13

My toes are curled, my toes are curled.

Kulap Vilaysack  10:16

They really are Sarah she’s not kidding SuChin and also gifts floss to herself to others. So this is rare.

Sarah Silverman  10:24

You know, I believe that death creeps in through the gums this is something that is a goddamn fact.

Kulap Vilaysack  10:30

The same person.

SuChin Pak  10:33

it is your gum health is a direct correlation.

Kulap Vilaysack  10:38

Is right to your heartbeat longevity.

SuChin Pak  10:39

Yeah, and your brain. Okay, it’s called plaque plaque in the brain plaque in the heart plaque on your teeth. Anyway. So I only have one question. Is the floss smooth? Or does it have texture? Is it like, what are the floss? I don’t like it’s glide is that like.

Sarah Silverman  11:05

It’s not like like it has it doesn’t have texture in like it just looks it doesn’t look like tape. It has more texture than that. Like coconut Enos on it. They also have wonderful flavors from like a vague kind of side mint, coconut. Yeah, like it’s not just like mint. It’s like, a sprig of you know something.

SuChin Pak  11:36

What is the con eater? You know, obviously would want to floss with.

Sarah Silverman  11:40

Yeah, like they I just love it so I get all the different kinds and it is a little bit of joy in an everyday process that I already enjoy. And now I Add to Cart.

SuChin Pak  11:54

Add to Cart.

Kulap Vilaysack  11:55

Let’s Sarah let’s not let’s not walk away from your mouth. Let’s let’s continue on and talk about.

Sarah Silverman  12:02

Is there another mouth thing and what I get it right.

Kulap Vilaysack  12:05

Let’s I want to talk about this MasterMedi Tongue Scraper with a case.

Sarah Silverman  12:10

Gorgeous case.

Kulap Vilaysack  12:13

This is medical grade 100% stainless steel. Why this one over let’s say a copper one.

Sarah Silverman  12:20

Well, I don’t know if I’ve tried many tongue scrapers. If tongue scrapers are new to you. You’re a disgusting pig. This gets the whole tongue it’s not like you’re raking it in sections. It’s one fell swoop you cause the pressure to two hander. It it rinses clean. And again comes in a gorgeous case now my every day I don’t put it in the case I put it in like one of the holes of the toothbrush thingies. It shares a hole with my white head blackhead tool.

Kulap Vilaysack  12:58

Yeah, I know what you’re talking about.

Sarah Silverman  12:59

Yeah. That I leave it if I don’t need it.

Kulap Vilaysack  13:02

I just sorry.

Sarah Silverman  13:03

The chin, I rake the chin.

Kulap Vilaysack  13:07

Wait, is this a hot tip because Sarah has excellent skin on firsthand.

SuChin Pak  13:13

known for her skin. I mean, skin first comedy second.

Kulap Vilaysack  13:16

I mean like this, there’s no filter on the Zoom.

Sarah Silverman  13:19

There is I did oh, I upped my Zoom filter because I don’t I mean, make up on. And I feel like my face is falling off of my skull. And I said, You know what, I deserve this. I’m upping the zoom.

SuChin Pak  13:30

Oh, mine is. This is a cartoon version of me. This is you will not recognize me after the zoom. So wait. Okay, I want to talk about this tongue cleaner. Because I agree. If you’re not scraping your tongue, don’t even brush your teeth. Just go to bed. Like to me, it’s like if your tongue is not clean. Forget it. Start again. Tomorrow when you can clean your tongue.

Kulap Vilaysack  13:53

Go ahead and shovel shit in your mouth. Because it’s the same thing.

SuChin Pak  13:56

It’s the same thing.

Sarah Silverman  13:57

And by the way, right free tongue scraping, you want to brush the tongue. You’re brushing your teeth and with a brushing of the tongue to loosen whatever’s on there. Right? The tongue is a disgusting muscle, but it’s necessary. Vital, It must.

SuChin Pak  14:14

When you if you’ve never scraped, and you scrape and then you see what comes off on the tongue scraper. You can’t go back. How do you look away from that ever again.

Sarah Silverman  14:27

And I would offer what we dream would be a VRI strip which never comes to pass. Like the bullshit be your a strip when you pull it off. It’s let’s see monkeys. They’re not really there. It’s only on the package. This is so satisfying. So much like will come off. And then you know what’s on your tongue. Take it off.

SuChin Pak  14:52

Especially in the magnifying mirror. Now I want to get through a lot. I want to get through everything in fact, but what is this Chin Scraper, do I need this?

Sarah Silverman  15:01

Probably not. I don’t know if this is more of a, but it’s, it’s not just for the chin. It’s a little tool. One side is for white heads. One side is for black kids and you just press it. It’s a little loop that you just press and I want you to extract.

Kulap Vilaysack  15:18

Look, that is one corner of my Tiktok algorithm is just watching truly disgusting extraction videos.

Sarah Silverman  15:29

And I’ll tell you, it makes me ill it makes me feel like I’m gonna vomit. And I can’t stop.

Kulap Vilaysack  15:36

Can’t stop won’t stop and I never never corner is just like all like foot issues where people’s feet are being scraped. Horns, days, it’s disgusting. Gotta watch them gotta watch it to completion.

Sarah Silverman  15:50

And when is that completion?

Kulap Vilaysack  15:54

Mages and all over.

SuChin Pak  15:58

Just don’t worry, it switches you guys. Totally different.

Kulap Vilaysack  16:01

Totally different.

Sarah Silverman  16:03

I dated a foot guy once it’s like real thing. Let’s see those slabs.

Kulap Vilaysack  16:20

Sara, the next thing we’re gonna talk about is something I’m very familiar with. Because this is the eyemask but Scott uses yeah has to use and it is the MZoo Sleep Eye Mask I’m sorry, MZoo Sleep Eye Mask, who knows?

Sarah Silverman  16:37

Don’t know. God, I love it. I’ve bought many of them. I mean, I go through them. You know.

Kulap Vilaysack  16:43

Scott’s the same. It’s a 3d contoured cup sleeping mask and it’s like a bra.

SuChin Pak  16:48

It looks kind of like a bra.

Sarah Silverman  16:49

Very much like a bra. It’s like when you cover your eyes with the pockets of your hands like the palms of your hands and you make it so like you cannot see a single bit of light that’s what it does. And I keep it on sometimes well into the day if I’m not like leaving the house they are still on and I forget it feels like a hat or something and I’m like oh but my body like the second you put them on. Your body goes Oh, time to go to sleep.

Kulap Vilaysack  17:19

Yeah, Scott immediately. I don’t even know it takes me forever to sleep sometimes unless I’m just exhausted. But Scott puts them on puts on a sound machine and then he’s out there’s no talking to him. He’s done clocked out.

Sarah Silverman  17:32

Sound Machine are they is it with headphones or is just like in the air.

Kulap Vilaysack  17:36

In the air. Yeah, he has. Yeah, we we all have sound machines, baby and us.

Sarah Silverman  17:43

What are each of your sounds.

Kulap Vilaysack  17:45

Emmys is more of like kind of a white noise like a rain from a distance kind of sound?

Sarah Silverman  17:52

Oh my god. I remember tall John and Nora’s when for Gloria was like, ssshhhhhh just sounded like someone shushing aggressively but it like put the baby asleep and it was.

Kulap Vilaysack  18:03

Yeah, a lot strong. Yeah. And then our Scott likes is sort of it’s it is more of like a rainstorm.  So you know, a heavy pour in Laos. Monsoon kind of season.

Sarah Silverman  18:20

Isn’t a specific Laos rain, or use that.

Kulap Vilaysack  18:24

I mean, just because I’m beside him. staring at him hoping he’ll wake up so that we can talk about something.

SuChin Pak  18:32

Oh my god, I can only imagine just that the emotional turmoil of bedtime just like that right? You don’t I mean, he’s asleep. You have questions? You want to just peek under that mask and be like just one more? Just one just one thing before before before you go. And him just out and you wondering what to do with your life.

Kulap Vilaysack  18:57

Just back on that Tiktok gotta see see about those whiteheads.

Sarah Silverman  19:01

Does the sound machine stop at some point in the night or does we wake up in the morning it’s on Still.

Kulap Vilaysack  19:08

Still on. Still on. I think if it stops anytime it’s up like if the power is gone off? We wake up we know something’s wrong.

Sarah Silverman  19:17

What about when you travel? Oh, because it’s just sounds fun. Yeah.

Kulap Vilaysack  19:22

No it’s a little device but it’s travel but like it can go wherever fleet Moscow and so do so does a little trip. Yes. Of course.

Sarah Silverman  19:32

I just I have one just in my suitcase.

Kulap Vilaysack  19:35

You go about to have.

SuChin Pak  19:36

Yeah, you gotta have your your scraper a floss your I also remember nothing you if you remember nothing password and then you’re ready. You’re ready for war. You’re ready for.

Sarah Silverman  19:48

To my end of times go bag. I’m gonna be scraping my tongue.

Kulap Vilaysack  19:53

I do think looking at your cart as this might be your end of day.

Sarah Silverman  19:57

What else is there some great Q tips in there that.

Kulap Vilaysack  20:02

Let’s talk about them the US Cotton First Aid Cotton Swabs.

SuChin Pak  20:08

I’ve never even heard of this brand.

Sarah Silverman  20:10

Me either, but I knew I needed a Q tip that was strong with like a real wooden.

SuChin Pak  20:19

Yes. Not like a bendy flimsy thing that’s so annoying. I feel like it’s.

Sarah Silverman  20:25

Indicative of the decline of quality in our everyday things. But these are wood sticks. And they will withstand a real twisting.

SuChin Pak  20:39

Oh my god. I just have to add to cart.

Sarah Silverman  20:42

Add to Cart. Add it to your carts.

SuChin Pak  20:47

How did you even come across this at a doctor’s office?

Sarah Silverman  20:51

No, you just gotta find the right search words. I’m like wood stick swab.

SuChin Pak  20:59

Now what’s the cotton pad like? Because that’s the other thing I get annoyed about is like a flimsy tip, and you’re like, this isn’t safe. Because I need to go deeper. And I’m scared. You know? Is it a nice thick stays intact?

Sarah Silverman  21:15

Yeah.

Kulap Vilaysack  21:17

Smugly said it like the smile on like, so self satisfied.

Sarah Silverman  21:22

Oh, yeah. Let me do the work for you just put these things in your cart.

SuChin Pak  21:29

Now, are you cotton swabbing every night or just after showers? Or are we doing this every day?

Sarah Silverman  21:37

Anytime I feel a tickle anytime I get rest my ear thing closed and it has a stick. It’s getting swabbed. Were in there. I love like it’s my dream to to clean people’s ears. But like I don’t have like good chunks. My ears are just very clean. Sometimes they’ll be like a vague yellow the whisper the promise of some yellow on it. But.

SuChin Pak  22:09

Have you done the camera? The camera pic.

Sarah Silverman  22:11

I have. I’ve gotten that. I have gotten it as gifts from three different people. It is very cool to see them. They’re very exciting. But Rory only lets me clean his ears like on special occasions because he’s scared. You know? And you know, I understand. But it’s basically like a birthday Christmas. You know, situation.

Kulap Vilaysack  22:41

That’s tough, though, because your birthday and Christmas isn’t the same month.

Sarah Silverman  22:45

And I’m Jewish. But.

SuChin Pak  22:47

Yeah, all those things. And then his head is in your lap and you’re in there. You’re in there with a lightyear and they’re.

Sarah Silverman  22:54

Well, I have a scope. So I’ll just use the scope. I don’t need to do the whole monitor on the TV like, but I use my scope. And then I see where it is. So I know if I know if I need to go like in and then up and scrape out or in and then side and scrape out.

SuChin Pak  23:11

Wait, what are you talking about scope?

Sarah Silverman  23:14

Like, you know, when you go tothe doctor and she looks into your ear.

SuChin Pak  23:18

You have one of those?

Sarah Silverman  23:22

Yeah. I thoroughly clean it I disinfected after.

SuChin Pak  23:28

I’ve never met anybody who actually owned their own scope. I didn’t know that that was for public consumption.

Sarah Silverman  23:36

Yeah, I’m basically a doctor.

SuChin Pak  23:38

You’re basically a doctor.

Kulap Vilaysack  23:40

Well, Dr. Silverman, I want to ask you about this Arches Tinnitus Treatment.

Sarah Silverman  23:49

This, I’m not saying to definitely add to cart I have tinnitus what I’ve always called tinnitus. And now in the last two ear doctors I’ve gotten to apparently it’s called tinnitus, which makes me embarrassed I don’t want to say it that way. I have tinnitus and I’m I feel lucky because it when everything’s silent, and I hear it, I hear it all the time, of course, and it sounds like electricity, like it’s like a very high pitch, but sounds like electricity, kind of but it doesn’t really bother me. But I have hearing loss. And I don’t want to get hearing aids yet. I’m really I’m young, like my parents Jr. Hearing aids like last year. So there’s like an ear diet. But it’s vitamins and also just, there’s a way you can eat for it. But if you look at it, it’s basically just eating right. It’s vitamins. It’s this special package, 90 day package. I bought two of them. I’m almost done the first one and I feel no difference. But I looked at the ingredients. It’s like it’s all good for you too. Just like ginkgo biloba and vitamin B.

SuChin Pak  25:03

How long have you been taking it so far?

Sarah Silverman  25:05

Maybe 80 days. 85 days? I feel no difference.

SuChin Pak  25:09

Yeah, that’s a fair shot.

Kulap Vilaysack  25:11

Wow, this is making me think of the, you know, Sarah for over a year I was micro dosing psilocybin. And I’ve had to stop. Because it’s, I don’t know, I don’t know what happened. But it started to feel like taking the same dosage that I had been taking started to feel like macro dosing. And it happened enough times. One time, Sarah, it happened during therapy, and that session became a very good and different and deeper session, but I’ve cut it out completely, because it’s like, what I wanted, it was for the focus and the mood lift. It was just, it was becoming a bummer. And turns out, you know, if I just exercise regularly kinda is the sort of same effect.

Sarah Silverman  25:54

I bought a chocolate bar of it. And I had like a square of it. And it was kind of cool, but I don’t I don’t know. I I didn’t stick with it. But did you have a capsules or.

Kulap Vilaysack  26:06

I was doing gummies? Like a child? Like.

Sarah Silverman  26:10

Oh.

Kulap Vilaysack  26:11

Like I have a lot if you want us I got a lot.

Sarah Silverman  26:14

Yeah. Take them. Take them off your hands.

SuChin Pak  26:16

Yeah, the micro dosing first of all, like lots of research about all the benefits, etc, etc. But at least what I know of it, you have to take breaks.

Sarah Silverman  26:26

Oh.

SuChin Pak  26:28

So it’s like three months on three months off? Three months on three months off? Yeah.

Sarah Silverman  26:33

And how how far in it? Were you when it a year?

SuChin Pak  26:37

Oh, yeah.

Kulap Vilaysack  26:38

Okay. Okay, hearing that. Well, guess what, on a break.

SuChin Pak  26:41

I’m not encouraging macro dosing. That’s not but I would be curious, take a break for a few months. And then I’m just curious if you went back to that dosage, if that felt like it did the first time because Sarah when she first started to do this, I noticed a different energy change and her and so I love that for her.

Kulap Vilaysack  27:03

Things being not legal and stuff. It’s hard to kind of get this type of information.

Kulap Vilaysack  27:17

Let’s talk about this Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Oh, love it. I always have at least one in the house.

Sarah Silverman  27:22

It’s magic. It cleans anything, anytime, anywhere.

Kulap Vilaysack  27:29

I mean, I’m only using it for like scuffs on the wall. Are you using it for other things that I might learn about?

Sarah Silverman  27:35

I clean my sneakers with one even like my tub, because you know everyone’s while sailing, I shaved my legs in the tub. It’s really a shower activity. But sometimes I just want to get so hot and sweaty. So it’s a clean, like not rough shave. Then you get all the little hairs around this like a ring of it at the end.

Kulap Vilaysack  27:56

Yeah, Kill it with that magic eraser.

Sarah Silverman  27:58

A dot of Dawn and a magic eraser and water. Also, I just want to say, Dawn for cleaning your glasses, game changer.

SuChin Pak  28:08

I feel like Dawn is having a resurgence mostly due to Tiktok the amount of things that people are doing with Dawn. Like, what’s that thing where the people are like, I forget what they call it. But when you actually soak your pillows, you know what I’m talking about?

Sarah Silverman  28:26

Is soaking like what they do and like Utah, net calm.

Kulap Vilaysack  28:32

Where they put vodka in tampons and put it up the butt isn’t that soaking and.

SuChin Pak  28:36

No, that’s not the type of soaking I’m talking about you guys. That’s disgusting. So it’s like basically a giant master clean, you fill your bathtub with warm water. And you fill it with like a cup of laundry soap, a cup of Dawn, and then you let it soak in there. And there’s millions 1000s of Tiktok and just Instagram videos just about that of like what the water looks like. Once you’ve done soaking all of this, and people soak their they’ll do like a soak on pillows. Gym closes a big category that they do. It’s called stripping, that’s what they call it and you can strip kind of almost anything and they show like what comes out of your pillows. And that you know, whatever you should do it, you know, once a year. I mean at that point, I’m like just swap your pillows out because it seems like a lot of work.

Kulap Vilaysack  29:32

I want to strip Scott’s pillow and see what happens. I suspect there shall be a ring around the bathtub and I will clean that with a magic eraser.

SuChin Pak  29:42

Yeah, no, the water is often like a dark green color because of just all the stuff that comes out of it. And then people you know use the Dawn and the baba blood to look at Sarah’s face as she’s watching strip videos right And they do this and and I feel like Dawn as a company has risen in our eyes since the days of the remember the Exxon commercials that they were so famous for.

Sarah Silverman  30:13

I mean, just to say they weren’t Exxon commercials they were about an oil spill.

SuChin Pak  30:20

Oh, I’m sorry. Is this because you were had your time at Exxon you just wanted to make sure that [….] Rex Tillerson. Just you’re right, you’re right. I retract my saying. Yes, it was an oil spill.

Sarah Silverman  30:38

It was a commercial for Dawn.

SuChin Pak  30:40

Yes, for commercial for Dawn. But they also say like if you have not a full clogged toilet, but let’s say a cloggy toilet. We have sometimes a lot of us. This household. There’s one toilet that you’re like, you know what I mean? Like, let’s just do number one in that toilet, that toilet. It’s a gentler landing. And one of the things I saw was just squirt Dawn in the toilet, because it kind of cleans in greases the pipes and so whatever may be kind of given that toilet the tummy upset. Maybe the Dawn will flush it. I don’t know what’s in done. I don’t have dawn in my house. I feel like probably we shouldn’t be flushing large amounts of dawn in the toilet.

Sarah Silverman  31:33

We should I don’t know what’s in Dawn but I can’t believe you have no Dawn in your house.

SuChin Pak  31:41

But I’m thinking about it. Sarah. I’ve seen.

Sarah Silverman  31:44

What do you use to cut grease?

SuChin Pak  31:45

I mean baking soda vinegar.

Kulap Vilaysack  31:48

Oh, look at you. Su’s got a lot of vinegar.

SuChin Pak  31:50

A lot of you know, I have a lot of baking soda and vinegar. In fact, okay. And then we just have to end this because my god have we lost everyone listening or again. But it is the season for sewer pipe bugs like flies. Nah, not Yeah, they come in the summer because everything is heated and so everyone should be doing, you know, a giant cup of baking soda, three cups of vinegar, letting that soak for a bit and then washing it down with boiling hot water and all of your drains. This is all I’m saying. Sarah, we were talking about clean holes two weeks ago clean my holes in that manner. Yes, you have to clean your holes are clean. But you now have to focus on the holes around you and you have to keep those holes clean.

Sarah Silverman  32:39

Hold on down all the drains like the bathroom sink, the kitchen sink the toilet drain.

SuChin Pak  32:44

Yeah, the shower. The shower is a big one because that’s like a pretty big drain lot of hair, lot of hair. But they if you do that regularly, if you have plumbing issues, it will change the game that is a game changer. I know for us.

Kulap Vilaysack  32:59

Plus it’s fun science because it foams up in a very.

SuChin Pak  33:03

So satisfying you do a nut floss, and then you go straight into a drain clean. Sarah, I’m not gonna see you for two weeks.

Sarah Silverman  33:11

I mean, you know, I’m so turned on.

SuChin Pak  33:14

I mean, you got a wobbly legs, you ain’t walking out of that house.

Sarah Silverman  33:19

And I was how did what does that have to do with gnats?

SuChin Pak  33:22

Because it kills all the eggs and any kind of infestation that could be brewing in your in your house? Yeah, of course they’re called drain flies are draining but you know, gnats, whatever, you know, there’s not a Oh, yeah, there’s a whole corner there. There, but it’s such a simple thing. I do it a lot. Because our pipes are so finicky. But that is something that Sarah, you know, I so appreciate how clean you keep your holes. I just wanted to, you know, help you see that, you know, these other holes may be could use a little nut floss,

Sarah Silverman  34:02

Wait its baking soda and vinegar?

SuChin Pak  34:05

Yeah. So you do like you can look it up. I mean, I don’t think there’s any science but I do like oh, one to two, maybe three ratio of like a baking soda and vinegar. Right. And you’ll see it’ll, it’ll fizzle and foam and then it’ll go down the drain. Now you let that maybe minutes. Yeah, 10 minutes or less. You just kind of let that work its way you could even I like to do it even two or three times. And then if you have an electric kettle, you just get that sucker hot. And then you just pour that steaming hot water and it pushes because the baking soda and the vinegar guys so if you could see Sarah’s face like every thing is round circle on her face, her eyes, her mouth, and so it loosens up all the gunk and the disgustingness and then the hot water just shoots it clean. Sarah shoots it straight.

Sarah Silverman  35:00

It’s so good.

Kulap Vilaysack  35:01

This is the most aggressive Sujan has ever, ever.

Sarah Silverman  35:06

I love it.

SuChin Pak  35:08

It’s so delicious like now whenever I and I drink tea all day long, but it’s like Pavlovian once the kettle is hot. I’m like. I think I got to drain it.

Sarah Silverman  35:20

Might as well get the our hot water.

SuChin Pak  35:23

Little cup of tea and then. I, got a, drink.

Sarah Silverman  35:26

No, it’s crazy. The electric kettle is something I had no consciousness of until I dated a Brit. And then he had an electric kettle I will just have the one on the you know the kettles, thing on the electric kettle is a revelation.

SuChin Pak  35:43

Oh, it’s humankind’s stepping forward.

Kulap Vilaysack  35:47

Yes. Yes.

SuChin Pak  35:49

It really is.

Kulap Vilaysack  35:50

We have made advancements,

SuChin Pak  35:52

But not as far as that was moving from non electric kettle to electric kettle. That footprint I don’t know where that will be matched. I’m still waiting. I’m still waiting for that.

Kulap Vilaysack  36:07
