Kulap Vilaysack  00:00

SuChin Pak  01:30

Welcome back to Add To Cart everyone. Now this is a show about the things we buy the things we buy into, what it says about who we are. I am SuChin Pak.

Kulap Vilaysack  01:41

And I’m Kulap Vilaysack, Su.

SuChin Pak  01:43

Yeah.

Kulap Vilaysack  01:44

Would you mind pulling our shared, calendar up and telling me. What month is it to?

SuChin Pak  01:50

It is May.

Kulap Vilaysack  01:52

May.

SuChin Pak  01:53

That’s right. That’s the feeling in the air.

Kulap Vilaysack  01:57

So May is a fantastic time here on Add To Cart because it’s like, it’s like a party, some months or a Cuddle Party long and dark and confusing, but no, not May. Why? Because first of all, May 11 is my birthday. And also it will be my first Mother’s Day. And, also how fitting that all of that fits in a AAPI Heritage Month. So let’s celebrate me, moms, and asian people in that order.

SuChin Pak  02:30

That sounds right, that sounds right.

Kulap Vilaysack  02:31

We’ll be giving you guys back to back conversations with some fantastic people in the community. And yes, a little picky peek into their shopping lives.

SuChin Pak  02:40

So we’re kicking off this month of celebrating asian joy. Asian greatness with two friends of the pod. They’re so sweet. They’re very stylish. Let me just sing their praises right into the Santa Barbara sky which is always blue and sunny and rich. Anyway.

Kulap Vilaysack  03:02

Wow. Okay, well. Please.

SuChin Pak  03:03

Don’t just say.

Kulap Vilaysack  03:04

Add to Cart. People, who are rich in style and texture and sex appeal.

SuChin Pak  03:16

Oh, that is actually true.

Kulap Vilaysack  03:19

Abe, and Steffie Baik.

SuChin Pak  03:25

I mean, sexy. It really is your right, now you guys host I want to say a groundbreaking called Cash Cuties. You know, when I first heard that you were launching a podcast. I was like, oh, that’s, that’s what’s awesome. It’s gonna be comedies. Cash Cuties. Let me tell you about this concept. It’s a personal finance podcast. It’s also a chit chat podcast. Let’s be honest. They invite their friends. You guys ask your friends to come with credit card statements, receipts, banking info, I mean, all of it.

Kulap Vilaysack  04:08

Social Security card, Mother’s maiden name.

SuChin Pak  04:12

And then you guys just go line by line roasting them, roasting them on how stupid they are for keeping so much money in their checking account about why this person would buy so much costume jewelry on Amazon. I mean it is. It’s, it’s the most intimate dive into someone’s life. It’s incredible. You guys must be having so much fun doing.

Speaker 3  04:42

It is absolutely so fun to look into someone’s closet basically. I was really I think we’re both kind of surprised at how many people are sending us their information we’ve had. We’ve had friends who don’t have credit card statements because they don’t have credit. So they’ll say and assert their bank statements, which shows how much money they’re making.

SuChin Pak  05:07

This is I’m talking about like It’s groundbreaking. Okay,

Kulap Vilaysack  05:11

It’s it’s so groundbreaking that I think SuChin Pak for representing Add To Cart as I will not be.

Speaker 4  05:20

Request so.

SuChin Pak  05:23

We leave, let’s be on Wait. Okay, we’re I’m so glad for being honest. You notice. I, I, I, I, don’t go to honesty, that’s not my first place. Let me just be honest. All right. So number one, we both did jump at the chance. And we said absolutely.

Kulap Vilaysack  05:40

I said, Yeah, I said yes.

SuChin Pak  05:43

Friend of the pod from the get go, whatever you’re doing, we’re right there, that our lovely Tiffany was like.

Kulap Vilaysack  05:51

Who we want me to do. Show my tits.

SuChin Pak  05:53

Absolutely, where?

Kulap Vilaysack  05:55

Where do I upload? that’s where I was like.

Kulap Vilaysack  05:57

And then.

Kulap Vilaysack  05:58

Great, great.

SuChin Pak  05:59

Like, spoiler, I was.

SuChin Pak  05:59

And then she said, guys, just wanted to tell you by the way, they’re gonna need your credit card statements, your checking account balances. And when I tell you who backed out of that driveway so fast with flash in her little mini Honda Civic loaded down, I mean, she was just.

SuChin Pak  06:03

Line Greenlight all the way around.

Kulap Vilaysack  06:12

What I gotta do now?

Speaker 4  06:30

We don’t, we don’t like for about only one person has ever sent us their checking thing only because they didn’t have a credit card thing. So that was fine. But most people just says their credit cards, which they’re pretty open with, it doesn’t tell me how much you’re making just kind of shows you what you’re buying this month. So it’s kind of like, you know, it’s similar to this podcast in a way but more intimate, because it’s like, what are you buying on a daily basis? And then like, these PowerPoints, because I used to work in consulting, we make these PowerPoints about, um, the PowerPoint.

SuChin Pak  06:59

Can you also give good financial.

Speaker 4  07:01

I do.

SuChin Pak  07:02

To people that you’re like, Wait, hold on a second, what’s going on? Why are you X, Y, and Z? Like people are really learning.

Speaker 4  07:11

Exactly.

SuChin Pak  07:11

Which is hilarious.

Kulap Vilaysack  07:14

What I realized is the level of interest Missy than I’m willing to do, like, guess ends that Add To Cart.

Speaker 4  07:20

But wait, but see, this is already interesting, right? That’s the kind of stuff that we’ll get into, if you would just say yes to our invitation. So.

Kulap Vilaysack  07:29

But what, what.

SuChin Pak  07:30

What happened, in your podcast.

Kulap Vilaysack  07:33

Your fans wanna know, you’re really on the couch.

SuChin Pak  07:40

Whereas I very quickly got my credit card statements together. And I was like, I may get rejected, because you’re gonna look at and be like, This is so fucking boring. There’s no material here.

Speaker 4  07:51

It’s never boring. It’s never never.

Speaker 3  07:55

I think a lot of people are like, Oh, it’s somewhat interesting, because they’re like, but what I noticed is like the small things like why are you spending like $45 at Taco Bell? You know, why are you making these late night orders three times a week? Like that’s interesting to me. And I think sometimes when we’re purchasing it, we’re not conscious of the purchases were like doing these late night purchases. So like, when you’re tapping a card.

Kulap Vilaysack  08:23

So no, no, no. I’m afraid of like, we talked I mean, like, we talked about how this this podcast is like, bankrupting, us and if you guys were to really like we joke about like, oh, the books but if I were to give you the books, like I don’t know if I could come back.

SuChin Pak  08:45

This is true. So just so you know, it was a no but with like, love and you nerdy me and it wasn’t like I don’t want, I don’t love you guys. Like I can’t, I can’t expose.

Kulap Vilaysack  09:00

Are you buying like, 11 vibrators at a time like that’s what goes to my head.

SuChin Pak  09:06

I’m like she gets those straight. She gets those straight.

Kulap Vilaysack  09:09

I just get, it I just got one for free that just today.

SuChin Pak  09:15

I like a Gucci bucket hat.

09:18

No, but this is this is why we like to do it. Because our whole philosophy is that like people are so open about like their mental health and their sexuality stuff. I mean, Kulap like you came on our podcast and like told us like beautiful story about your pregnancy journey. And some people would say that’s an extremely personal thing, but you can’t even show me how many dollars you’re buying. You know, what’s so fascinating.

Kulap Vilaysack  09:38

Anecdotally tell you how many, but for you to get the to have the undisputable facts. I collect my charges. Like I cannot.

SuChin Pak  09:53

With that in mind, I mean it bleeds right into our podcast at work here about.

Kulap Vilaysack  09:57

Absolutely and before we get get into the cards Steffie, I really need to know your a darest a new friend. I’m being very presumptuous. Yeah, for me. I call her beat before you got on I accidentally called her baby. It was like, What are you doing? No, I liked it.

Kulap Vilaysack  09:59

It canceled that. What are you doing with my co host?

Kulap Vilaysack  10:11

I know, I know we’re not fit.

Speaker 3  10:22

I like being a baby. Can I? Can I have some sugar mamas now? Like, is this what?

SuChin Pak  10:29

You came to the right place. Mama’s feeding a lot of people. She’s feeding a lot.

Kulap Vilaysack  10:37

Steffie, of what we like to ask like, what type of like, kind of like shopper? Are you? Like, what’s your Add to Cart style?

Speaker 3  10:45

I’m really bad at online shopping. I’m one of those people that will hoard a bunch of stuff and analyze the shit out of like, what the purchases, I need to get all the coupons ready, I need to like and then, and then i’ll leave it in there for like a week or two. And then, I will tell myself, Hey, okay, I don’t need these things. Because like the moments passed, and then I’ll not I won’t buy it. So I mean.

Kulap Vilaysack  11:13

Good for you.

Speaker 3  11:14

No, but I’m an impulse purchaser. In real life. Like in person, like I, like I need to see it, I need to feel it. And then it’ll, like start speaking to me, like literally will be like, Dude, you need me, I will buy it at that point. But like, online is just a hard place for me to shop. So this was very interesting, because I have a lot of things I actually have like, over 20 things that were in my cart. So for me to only send you a few was really hard, because in its own way, I felt like I was shopping again to show you guys it was weird. Okay.

SuChin Pak  11:50

Now you know what it’s like to host this show every week. Yeah. It’s like, right, we’re not buying right focus on not purchasing content. very confused. Yeah.

Kulap Vilaysack  12:03

If for me, remind me what your what your style is, aside from the contents, which, you know, were last time we’re very tech savvy and horny.

Speaker 4  12:11

You know what it is I was thinking about the way I purchase and like I feel that I’m pretty responsible but I think, I, I really like to upgrade things like I find myself a lot of times like trying to like replace something that I already have with a better thing and that makes me feel like I’m sort of advancing my life in a weird way. So I’m like really into I’m really into like, like everything I probably said on that list. I already have one, but I just want like a better one because I feel that I’m getting older maybe.

Kulap Vilaysack  12:42

You’re worthy.

Speaker 4  12:43

No Yeah, like once I reach a certain status I’m like well now I must replace everything in this room with a better version because I’m living a new life you know what I mean? So a lot of it is like should I already have but just like a more expensive version or the one I think I deserve in that moment.

Kulap Vilaysack  12:57

You know for me I’m noticing something, I haven’t seen you in a while there’s a gorgeous Silver Streak happening right.

Speaker 4  13:04

Yeah.

Kulap Vilaysack  13:04

Middle of your foreheads.

Speaker 4  13:06

This is new, yeah ,yeah, yeah, I don’t think I had last time I talked to you guys I love.

SuChin Pak  13:10

I don’t think so art artfully placed it so artfully plated almost see it’s fake but I but it is very hard, to put a clip on, right in the front.

Kulap Vilaysack  13:25

You look fantastic. I have a full head of gray hair so I’m you know simpatico but you talking about this upgrade I get it Reed Richards it looks good.

Speaker 3  13:34

Highlights too like right in the front. Oh yeah.

Kulap Vilaysack  13:41

Bummer, it’s just you know, I’m marching towards death. Fumi let’s start with you sir. Speaking of silver What is this silver wheel?

Speaker 3  13:55

It’s for cars.

SuChin Pak  14:02

You have a car, because it would be really, really uncomfortable if you bought this and you don’t.

Kulap Vilaysack  14:12

I just to read what it was, and then to hit the link I truly did it.

SuChin Pak  14:16

It’s literally a wheel. Wait, is this like a miniature wheel that you’re doing model cars or is this actually on an automobile.

Speaker 4  14:30

This is a real wheel. It’s a really cool wheel. And here’s what happened, okay. Okay, so I you know me I was living in New York for so long. I was living there from when I was 18 to 31. And when you live in New York, you don’t have a car so I did not drive for like the majority of my life, which is crazy, right for someone who lives outside New York. So I moved to LA you know, and I got myself a little car and I’m like, I have a little Prius okay, that I love. I gotta recently and I I love taking care of things. And I just thought, you know, instead of buying a nice car like wouldn’t it be funny if I like, pimped out this Prius? I’ve been looking at, like, cool rims that fit the Toyota Prius specifically.

Speaker 3  15:15

No one’s ever said that out loud. Never never.

Speaker 4  15:19

Know. But but there’s a.

SuChin Pak  15:21

By the way, this thing is 10 ratings 10. That’s an all, in all the world because I believe Amazon is global. I mean, correct me if I’m wrong.

Kulap Vilaysack  15:31

Only 10 people have said 5 stars for the  e n k, e n k RPF silver wheel, this is an Add to Cart first I.

SuChin Pak  15:47

I don’t even. Okay,

Speaker 4  15:49

I told you before I like to upgrade things and so I got my little wheel but I was like, I think this Prius can be really cute if I take care of it. You know, it’s kind of like people upgrading their laptops if they’re like, oh, I want more RAM you know people used to buy more RAM for their computer put it in there there’s more memory so they can use Adobe whatever.

Speaker 3  16:08

Usually with wheels like if you’re going to upgrade it it’s something like nicer like to make it look nicer. This literally looks like a regular ass wheel. Dude,

Speaker 4  16:17

How does this look? Okay, first of all, there’s these reviews read these reviews. Okay?

Speaker 3  16:24

Because there’s only 10.

Speaker 4  16:27

Spanish for some reason. I don’t know why.

Speaker 3  16:29

Yeah, cuz they’re buying it in Mexico. It looks like a Civic. Someone bought it for their civic and other person bought it for their Honda Fit, which is what you’ve like, upgraded your new car from.

Speaker 4  16:40

From a Honda Fit to a Prius and I think I’m like hotshit. But no Okay,

Kulap Vilaysack  16:46

Here we go here here’s a review. Absolutely fantastic wheels I was able to go from my stock 13 by five steel wheels to these 50 by seven on my 1990 Civic wagon.

Speaker 3  17:00

Secchi Shashi.

Speaker 4  17:06

I wouldn’t get this if I had like a BMW or something. But I got a little Prius and you know what, I didn’t know, rims were that cheap. Like, I thought rims were like 1000s of dollars. This is like, you know, 200 bucks per wheel. That times four. So that’s like, you know, it’s not like you’re gonna.

SuChin Pak  17:20

Put you’re gonna put lights on it. Is it gonna whistle when a turn?

Speaker 4  17:23

I mean, the LED lighting will come later, but I think for now.

SuChin Pak  17:28

You start here, but keep going. You You deserve more Fumi late, like, I don’t know, but I feel like you need to reach a just a little.

Speaker 4  17:36

I did think It’s funny. It’s funny.

Speaker 3  17:40

It’s cheap because, it’s cheap because nobody wants it. Do you understand that? They’re trying to get rid of it. Like there’s influx of why it’s $200, bro. Pimp it,

SuChin Pak  17:55

This is the base. This is where you start. Pay me where we want you to Okay. And yeah, we want you to take care of your things and love yourself.

Speaker 4  18:03

You know, it’s like Marie Kondo thing brings me joy to see these crazy rims,on a Prius that gets like 55 miles per gallon. By the way, I have been doing a lot of research on which because there’s a lot of aerodynamic stuff involved and a lot of rims, if they let it they let him too much air and it actually lowers the mpg. So I don’t want to I want to make sure my rims don’t have an impact on the potential of the Prius. I want to make sure that that is reserved. So it’s been a whole I mean,

SuChin Pak  18:29

I hope that you treat your lady friends as well as you are treating. I mean, she’s getting love when I tell you, you know, the Golden Glove treatment.

Kulap Vilaysack  19:53

So from actual wheels, to a Steffie, let’s talk about this carmelize Red Onion chutney chili.

Speaker 3  20:05

This Marmolada.

SuChin Pak  20:06

Wow, wait first of all we gave me a lot it gave one person also there’s a review from one person in all the world for these carmelized onion marmalade.

Speaker 3  20:17

This has been one of the items that’s been in my cart for like over three years. This is something I have been wanting so.

SuChin Pak  20:31

Snuffy. This is why I came on here because I asking over there. Can we send Steffie $6 jar? I love me and he will split. I’ll Venmo you $3.

Speaker 3  20:47

You guys are the first, you guys heard it first. So okay, can I tell you something because I don’t want to scam you. The delivery fee is 1399 it this is directly this is directly from Scotland wherever this is from, because I, the first time I ever had this you guys you guys need to get this because you guys have money okay buy this because it is gonna be you’re gonna want to like slather it on your body once you taste it. It’s It is fabulous. Like I had it in you know this Harry David like gift bags. Yeah. So yeah, I got into one of those like 10 years ago. But I’ve been thinking of my mouth is watering as I speak right now. And I have bought knockoff versions because I just cannot pay for the delivery of 1399. Insane to me, and then I you somehow I’ll be like, Okay, I got to the point that I’ve actually, I’ve actually messaged them. I’ve emailed them. And I said, Hey, would you guys be willing to send this? This is one of my favorite jams. And they actually replied and said yes, I was so st oked.

SuChin Pak  22:01

But you have to pay for the 1399.

Speaker 3  22:05

The minute they said, Yes. Where are you located? Crickets. I told you you haven’t tried crickets. I told them. I was like, US Los Angeles. Crickets never came back. And they don’t even want to send it to me, you know? So.

SuChin Pak  22:23

Tell us what it tastes like that for 10 years. You have been dreaming about this carmelized red onion chutney with chilli..

Speaker 3  22:32

Okay, so if you guys have had like carmelized onions, right? It’s like sweet usually, yeah, this has the perfect amount of savoriness so if you like cheese, I love to eat cheese on top of toast or on a cracker. And then, sometimes you know, I would put jam but it’s too sweet. So, so to sweet me this stuff is sweet, salty, slightly spicy. It is something that you must experience in life. And the more I talk about the more it makes me sad. Should I just buy it? What the heck? Is this? Why I’m on here?

SuChin Pak  23:08

Right now on the podcast, spend less than $20 or maybe $20.

Kulap Vilaysack  23:16

And then you’ve love.

SuChin Pak  23:18

For 10 years, might for this is the thing, you can’t if you’ve if you’re still thinking about it the next day, the next week I would say purchase it, but 10 years later a decade even even after trying the bad versions and contacting my case why okay no yeah what can we crowdfund this? What is this I’m willing to chip in for both of us here we can get Steffie right up to this point,

Speaker 4  23:50

I have to say I do appreciate Steffie sort of tenacity to hold off because I could see a world where you buy it once and you’re like, This was delicious and easy. And now you just become that guy who just buys jam for $20 like frequently and that could cost you 1000s of dollars. You know, I don’t know how much cheese you’re eating so I could see how this is a very slippery slope. So I know that they’re tempting you with the $2 but I would say so just think about that.

SuChin Pak  24:18

Wait, if you bought, if you bought like four of these now hold on, if you bought like four of these is the delivery still the same?

Kulap Vilaysack  24:28

Because now you’re thinking like ATM right now 20 bucks out of an ATM take 200.

Speaker 3  24:37

You guys some right now. What is happening right now.

Kulap Vilaysack  24:41

I just heard that you live in LA. And I didn’t realize that. So as my new friend now I’m thinking.

Speaker 3  24:51

My, my inner child right now I just realized is throwing a tantrum and I think you’re right. I think I need to purchase it. I need you’re right.

SuChin Pak  24:59

Yes, you You are worthy you can do it abundance. Come on, Kulap, you’re the abundance Queen do the do the thing, do the thing. And the thing.

Kulap Vilaysack  25:08

It’s so hard for me not to just buy it for you, but I think this is something that you need. You need to we need to throw you in the poker. You gotta make it out yourself.

Speaker 3  25:16

Right? I guess I’m doing it now.

SuChin Pak  25:20

I mean, I’m not saying, you know, go listen, I’m the cheapest person alive. Oh, I’m not saying go go and get everything your heart desires. But honey, give you get $20 Yeah, get yourself some jam that you’ve been thinking about for 20 I’m for 10 years.

Kulap Vilaysack  25:41

Fumi What’s this rolling tray storage box? Who are you becoming sir? What is this transformation?

Speaker 4  25:51

Oh. Okay, so I’m getting older. Right? And listen. Yeah, yes. Established. moved from New York. We don’t have, weed in New York, or we do but it’s very legal. I’ve never bought drugs in my life illegally. Okay, I’m a good boy. Actually, I did it once. But it was an extremely embarrassing experience because I wanted to somebody told me to get mushrooms so I meet up with a shady guy in this apartment in Williamsburg. And he gives me these chocolate coins. I was like, sir, I asked for mushrooms. These are chocolate. But that mushroom is so so amazing. So anyways, I’ve never bought drugs illegally and then so this is moving to LA there was like a dispensary in my neighborhood. So like, I got some weed. And I saw, I saw my friends do wait in college and stuff. And it’s very like, you know, smoking out of this like, Bong that looks like it’s from a Jimi Hendrix music video. And I was like, No, I’m 33 I got this dope ass Prius with this dope ass wheels. Okay, people, people expect things from me. People expect me to live a certain level with life. And so I want to upgrade my weed experience and get like cool lighters and like nice storage boxes, and I just got a weed grinder that’s in the shape of a pokey Mambo. Like, you know, I’m like, I’m just trying to.

Kulap Vilaysack  27:08

You do that your way.

SuChin Pak  27:15

I mean, nothing gets me hotter than a guy who’s pulling out a Pokemons grinder. Pick me up and his, his souped up Prius with whistling, whistling wheels. I mean, I really open up London Bridge.

Kulap Vilaysack  27:33

I really have to apologize to our engineer Keegan because I have peeked this audio so many times like from like the get go, of this podcast like I truly have peeked. So like.

Speaker 3  27:48

I’m laughing so hard.

Speaker 4  27:49

Listen, my DMs are full because I live.

Speaker 3  27:51

Oh, sorry. We interrupted you.

SuChin Pak  27:53

Yeah, please continue with this rolling tray storage. This is like tell us all the.

Speaker 4  27:58

I have all, I have all this weed from I bought some but sometimes I do comedy shows for like weed sponsored events and they give you these like huge goodie bags. And so like I have all this weed, and I want to like put it away and like a cute little like, sort of like container, you know, will be Parker vibes. Like I just want it to look like a 33 year old man, with a job is smoking weed.

Speaker 4  28:00

This year. I love it.

Speaker 4  28:06

So that’s that’s.

SuChin Pak  28:26

I love how, on the fourth rollover picture here. It says premium hinges support everyday use, you know. I mean, listen, I know what you’re going with this and yeah, like you’re past the phase where you’re busting out with like a human sized Ziploc full of shake you know what I mean? Like you’re now you’re like, you have furniture that you don’t have to use and you know and l device to put together you’ve got your car we’re not we don’t need to go there again. And and and this like it makes sense. You’re upgrading but I went up.

Kulap Vilaysack  29:03

That said Fumi tell us why you remove from cart. This Marley Natural walnut, glass spoon pipe.

Speaker 4  29:11

Wait, Okay, so what I really this whole journey started because we were getting a bowl and I was like, I don’t this is the bowl that I bought, like, you know, when I was in college in New York City and like it was on St. Mark’s and I got it for like $5 And I’m like, it just looks like the bowl that you’re picturing in your head with the crazy colors, right? And I’m like, I don’t want to like smoke out of this anymore. Like, you know what I mean? Like, you don’t I’m saying I have I have investments. Okay, I’ve got a car. I’ve got to get a nice girlfriend like you know, I live in a nice apartment. Okay, let me, let me let my pipe catch up to where I am. And so I was googling. I was like best pipes 2023. This article from.

Speaker 3  29:53

Monocle, dude. You need to talk cat to go with it. Very.

SuChin Pak  29:59

Wow, this is cool. And then this is what came up?

Speaker 4  30:03

Like some Esquire article about like, like yeah pipes for grownups or something. And I’m like on you know on first look like it looks very, very cool. You know what I mean? Like.

Speaker 3  30:12

it does it does.

Speaker 4  30:13

it looks fucking cool.

Speaker 3  30:14

It looks cool.

Speaker 4  30:15

I don’t love that it says like Marley on it. I don’t know if that’s a I don’t know if that’s the name of would or if that’s a you know, reference to Bob Marley. I don’t love that, but like it looks cool, but that is $60. And I think I’m like, Yes, I want to upgrade but I’m also like, Hey, man, I’ve got a personal finance. I’m always stingy. You know, there’s no reason for me to drop 60 That’s a concert ticket. You know what I mean? I could go see like, Adele back row or something. So that’s, that’s where I stopped myself.

Kulap Vilaysack  30:40

If I were you, I would put this on a list of that I created for my girlfriend of like, when gift time is comes around, I got a list of things that I like, Hey, you shop from there.

Speaker 4  30:55

You have a gift. We have a wish list for your friends.

SuChin Pak  30:59

My husband Lully. Yeah, how else do you get what you want.

Speaker 3  31:05

No but what I want to do this.

SuChin Pak  31:08

You guys, guys don’t waste your time. You’ve got a whisper of silver hair, your time is running out Mother, Mother Nature is telling you.

Speaker 3  31:19

We could have gotten what we want.

Kulap Vilaysack  31:22

I use my notes app. And I create a list of things that I might want to be gifted by my husband, and it becomes, its own little store for him. And he’ll know that all like everything that’s in it.

Speaker 3  31:35

You don’t want the surprise element at all?

Kulap Vilaysack  31:38

No. There’s so many things.

Speaker 4  31:43

The surprise the 1000 items.

SuChin Pak  31:45

I’ve been, I’ve been surprised a lot and none of it is is ever as good as getting exactly. The quick surprise of haha. Five Pilates classes, is not as fun as the saline bag you specifically asked for. But no, it’s still surprised because you give them a list of let’s say 10 You don’t know which one you’re gonna get. You’re not gonna get all 10 You’re just gonna get one of the things on the list. So it’s still a surprise. I dare say that. I think my husband prefers it this way. So it’s less work for him. Yeah, he’s like, give me your list. Because you know, and then he just does it. It’s out of the way he doesn’t have to agonize over it. He doesn’t have to be humiliated when I open it and laugh You know what I mean? Like all of those things are traumas of the past.

Kulap Vilaysack  32:40

I’m silently nodding Yeah, yeah. Just think about it.

Speaker 3  32:44

By the way I just looked at that listing again it says it’s only for tobacco use.

Speaker 4  32:49

You but they have to say that.

Speaker 3  32:51

Oh, really?

Kulap Vilaysack  32:52

Oh, right. Yeah, because it legally, legal everywhere else. But look at it has a hole on the side. Gently. Multipurpose.

Speaker 3  33:02

I didn’t know you smoked Fumi. That’s interesting to me.

Speaker 4  33:05

It’s an, it’s a new thing. So new, I would say couple last couple of months.

Kulap Vilaysack  33:11

But I love that he’s got to get the gear.

Speaker 4  33:13

But I gotta get the gear. It’s like I can’t. It’s so funny. I’ve never I haven’t really smoked like I have the weed ready, but I haven’t really smoked because I’m waiting for like my nice pipes. Like everything right? It’s not about me getting high. It’s about the experience.

SuChin Pak  33:26

Let’s start another another GoFundMe here. Okay, we got one for Onion Chutney and a $60 glass wind pipe. So Fumi can have some fucking fun. I mean, I don’t know to me, it’s money like a worth every penny.

Kulap Vilaysack  35:01

Okay so I am wanting to learn more about like highlighting my face so I’m very excited about hearing about the Chanel balm essential multi use glowstick.

Speaker 3  35:12

I am..

SuChin Pak  35:14

To go from onion chutney to chanel, hold on, my, my like the same price my computer is downloading the info here.

Speaker 3  35:30

Okay all right beauty I will shell out like I have like drawers full of it is like my addiction is buying makeup like I am obsessed with makeup so, this first summer a highlight for $45 is really high I did a shoot, a couple weeks ago and the makeup artist was a Chanel represented makeup artist and so everything she used was Chanel yeah and when I looked at myself in the screen you know like the screen when it’s oh my face was looked like flawless and she was using so much of the stuff all over my face and I love a good height.

SuChin Pak  36:17

Just this stick?

Speaker 3  36:18

Well she I mean, she was doing, she was doing everyday show.

Speaker 3  36:22

She was, very it was like just a little bit of makeup but like for filming it looked amazing and you guys know like because you guys are being filmed like highlight is really important. Because like, for me at least as I’ve gotten older my face just is drier like I need to drink a lot of water to like look hydrated. So highlight is one of my favorite things to do to make myself look just like like I just got a facial or something like that. So I like to just highlight the crap out of my face with any like sprays or just I like really balmy stuff so this is something I’ve been considering in comparison to the Pat McGrath they also have a balm. So I wasn’t sure about the two because the other one is like a two in one stick so it’s got a highlight on one side with the sparkle element you know the per lesson and the other side is like the shear thing this one is just a one off and they’re both the same price. So I’ve been kind of going back and forth considering which but I think I’m gonna get the Chanel because I’ve experienced the glory of it and it smells really good.

SuChin Pak  36:22

Okay, got it.

Kulap Vilaysack  37:31

And you’d be getting the, the transparent the dress translucent, cuz. That’s one that would be free.

Speaker 3  37:40

Yes because the other I don’t want anything with color because I like to I have blushes and then not the sculpting there’s a golden light but I noticed just like getting like the the shear is typically the best. The one I have now is like the tower 28 They have one, but it still, feels very thick this stuff I couldn’t feel so I think I need to get this.

Kulap Vilaysack  38:04

Okay, this is this is why I can’t go on Cash Cuties. Okay, yeah, you were to see coming out of like I thought it was done with the spring into beauty sorry.

SuChin Pak  38:16

Yesterday you said you yelled at me. You screamed at me You said I’m done adding things stop talking about this.

Kulap Vilaysack  38:22

Because, I, I purchased so much makeup, in the last couple of weeks correct and I thought I thought that was in my rearview mirror okay and now Steffie comes through with this chanel I mean yeah, I mean

SuChin Pak  38:37

I was with you with the onion, I mean it’s even too too rich for my blood you know I told you from the get go I’m I’m a cheapy gal I’m a drugstore gal but I understand, I understand.

Kulap Vilaysack  38:52

But I’m, Not I’m the opposite so I have to get it that’s why I’m angry.

Speaker 3  38:56

I think we should all get it doesn’t it feel less guilty if we get it as a group do you guys talk about that like just.

SuChin Pak  39:02

yeah, you mean like and then and then we send it to each other every other week?

Speaker 3  39:11

She wants to traveling.

SuChin Pak  39:12

Traveling, Chanel, balm, highlighting stick. That’s the movie I love start to.

Kulap Vilaysack  39:24

Now Fumi. You cooking a lot. It is that way you’re gonna get this Tramontina professional aluminum nonstick restaurant fry pan. 10 Ninja?

Speaker 4  39:35

You know, can I just go off on frying pan culture for a second? I feel.

Kulap Vilaysack  39:42

Like holding my breath for this tag. Come on, give it to me.

Speaker 4  39:45

I just don’t like how like I’m not like a chef. I’m a bit of like cook I don’t know a ton about like knives and shit. But like I just don’t like with frying pans. It’s like, it’s either $30 or like $250 And he’s like, it’s really hard to find To like, what, what is like the MUJI brand of frying pans like I don’t want to, I don’t want like cash it, but I also don’t want to buy the lake crustacean. You know, and it’s so hard and like, if you look on these lists, it’s always like, you know, like, best value. But um, so this is the one that came up and I’m like, I guess it’s fine. But like, I don’t know, I just wish that there was like, you know, in the way that people prefer, like, second cheapest wine. I just feel like I wish there was like, second cheapest frying pan where it’s like, I feel emotionally good about buying this because I spend this amount of money and it’s gonna be good quality. But with frying pans, like there’s so many like weird brands and like, yeah, unless you’re willing to like, shell out for the Top Top Chef, the chef’s use, which I am not going to do that. Like, it seems that it’s hard to find like one that works for you. We’d love to know what kind of frying pans you guys are using.

Kulap Vilaysack  40:47

I mean, this is SuChin you’re describing.

SuChin Pak  40:50

Already. I’m already on it. I’m in the chat right now. Let me give you right now. There it is. So listen, I’m with you. You know, like I sure I love a frying pan that looks like a cute pair of sunglasses who doesn’t want to walk into their kitchen and it’s Kenyan colored and forest green, you know, you whatever. But you just you sometimes you just want a frying pan that works that isn’t going to kill you.

Speaker 4  41:19

Yes, that’s lovely.

SuChin Pak  41:20

Slowly kill you over and that you’re not going to pay a ton for and then if you happen to burn a piece of you know, toast on it.

Kulap Vilaysack  41:29

Why are you putting toasts on your frying pan?

SuChin Pak  41:34

Fried Butter Fried Butter Fried toast? You eat takes me back to my childhood sometimes I just want to comfort snack. I take a slice of bread. I put some butter on it can fry it. Okay, I sprinkle a little bit of sugar. Yeah. And it’s like I’m sitting, sitting in front of Reading Rainbow all over again. You know? So the pan I sent you. It did you see it?

Speaker 4  41:59

It’s actually cheaper than the one I like the one I selected.

SuChin Pak  42:03

I don’t know. I mean, I I just go by what my husband, he’s if you have, if you live with someone who’s a deep diver, it’s great for someone like me, you know, it’s like he’ll do all the research and then I’ll just and he just has done a lot of pan frying research and it’s the T fowl nonstick fry pan. I don’t know this is the one we get. This is the workhorse and.

Speaker 4  42:24

You’re liking it.

SuChin Pak  42:26

I mean we’ve been using it for years.

Speaker 4  42:29

I’m gonna get this one.

SuChin Pak  42:30

I would start here.

Speaker 4  42:31

I would start yeah.

SuChin Pak  42:32

It’s 2654 for two piece, two pieces.

Speaker 4  42:37

That’s good. That’s great. That’s a great deal. I love a good deal. Yeah.

SuChin Pak  42:42

So, then now you can get the Chanel bone.

Speaker 4  42:44

I’ll Venmo $70 right.

Kulap Vilaysack  42:50

Fumi, he’s just gonna be glowing.

SuChin Pak  42:54

And smelling like onions.

Kulap Vilaysack  42:58

Smelling like sweet onion.

Kulap Vilaysack  43:02

Ah, it’s really don’t want to let you guys go because this is so much fun. But the last item that I want to talk about is stuffies removed from cart because I’m so curious. You, don’t want to get this specific type of pillow because you might be addicted to it. It’s the comfy sure pregnancy pillow. It’s a U shaped pillow.

Speaker 4  43:20

Whoa.

Kulap Vilaysack  43:22

Quick questions. Are you pregnant?

Speaker 3  43:24

I’m not pregnant. I’m lonely. Lonely and horny.

SuChin Pak  43:33

Like a front and back.

Speaker 3  43:34

Exactly. I’m wrapped it’s like two men in one situation and from back.

SuChin Pak  43:41

I’m whatever they’re not non, no don’t have any hair, hair and.

Speaker 3  43:46

He’s not trying to phone me in the morning again.

SuChin Pak  43:51

Love.

Speaker 3  43:51

It stays quiet. Just perfect. Both quiet so I’m worried that if I get this though that I won’t go search you want to go search for the person that can you know, actually impregnate me.

SuChin Pak  44:04

You’re right to worry. This looks this looks good. You’re right to be worried. I wouldn’t be worried.

Speaker 3  44:14

First experience this actually at this guy. I kind of dated him you know a few went on a few dates with this guy. And he was like six, four really tall. One of the tallest guys ever like went out with and he had one of these he had and this is the reason why he said he doesn’t cuddle. He needed this to go to sleep. So he did not cuddle me. One of the nights are the the night that I ever like. We don’t even fully hook up we did a half hookup thing. He didn’t cuddle me and I was like what the fuck? And so I was like Can I try it? So anyways, we, we went the whole night he was using this while I slept next. And then morning.

SuChin Pak  44:59

Outlet Holy fucking the thin with a thin bed.

Speaker 3  45:02

And then in the morning. I was like can I try it on so I tried it on I was like oh this is really nice like I could see why like it’s I came home the next time and I like looked it up and I was like maybe I should get one but then I realized like how addicted he was to it and it was part of the reason why I would never date him, for reals.

SuChin Pak  45:21

Yeah.

Speaker 3  45:21

Come on I love cuddle and I was like ah if he’s addicted to I’m pretty sure I’d get addicted to it to.

SuChin Pak  45:27

Listen Steffie for this year, what I want for you is to find you a partner who loves you and supports you brings you joy, where you’re both wrapped in pillow you shaped for pregnancy, folks, and you’re in a giant bed. That’s my that that’s that gets me hot you know, like I got my pregnancy you shaped pillow on one side, you have yours and and maybe just like our fingers touch over, you know, like our two you know what I mean.

Kulap Vilaysack  46:01

Essentially separate pods, separate pods.

SuChin Pak  46:03

Separate pods, but like it’s almost like he’s hugging you without all the sweat and the hair and the bad breath. Right? Because you can see the other person you know.

Kulap Vilaysack  46:13

SuChin, SuChin you want this one. You want.

SuChin Pak  46:19

I want a lot of things we’ve talked about to be honest.

Kulap Vilaysack  46:22

And for me, my husband six, two, I need to I need to keep him away from this because I think he would prefer this. Yeah, I’m looking at this and I’m feeling a pang of jealousy like I feel for the body pillow that he has right now that I call his baby. Oh, and I know that this cannot enter our bedroom. Yeah,

SuChin Pak  46:44

I have a body pillow and God It’s over once you get a body pillow I the children, the husband, it’s like very faint memories. Like my son. He loves to like at night. He loves to read in bed with me and I’m like, and I like to have the body pillow in between. And he’s always like trying to get under them like just Just hear me out. Okay, let me put this here. See, we’re hugging a pillow and we’re here together. It’s I’m just trying to teach him the ways but maybe I’m now I’m saying it out loud. It sounds good. Anyway, I like this.
