Kulap Vilaysack, SuChin Pak

Kulap Vilaysack  00:02

Hello, and welcome to another episode of add to cart a show about the things we buy and buy into what it says about who we are. I’m Kulap Vilaysack.

SuChin Pak  01:51

And I’m SuChin Pak. So it’s been a while since we’ve given you a routine episode. Right? Plenty of deranged episodes, but not a deranged routine episode. And I’m not saying that this is going to be deranged. I don’t know that it’s gonna be deranged.

Kulap Vilaysack  02:07

I think it’s if any of you are […] out there I would put down money down on black.

SuChin Pak  02:14

I’m already going to tell you that. I wasn’t sure it was a routine. So that’ll be interesting.

Kulap Vilaysack  02:24

You’re the one who was like implicit that’d be a routine.

SuChin Pak  02:28

You’re right. But I say things and then it goes shoot, right out the you know, the waterslide, into the kiddie pool.

Kulap Vilaysack  02:38

Yep, got it. Got it. Got it. So, strap in guys. We’re gonna do a guess, an episode whether or not it’s routine. You tell us,  leave us voicemail. It’s gonna be all about exercise. Activity. Everyone’s favorite topic. Everyone’s getting ready for bikini season. Summer break. Take all of your clothes off.

SuChin Pak  03:13

Let’s get into that season.

Kulap Vilaysack  03:15

We shall. I’m going to start with a remove from cart which is Lbs. That’s pounds, folks. I went to see my doctor, Dr. Becker, not the one from the failed TV show. But Dr. Mitchell Becker for my yearly physical and he gently said he liked to see my weight trend down, trend down instead of up. And since he is my doctor and not an internet troll, I suppose, I should do something about it once again. Once again, wow. Here we are. And he was like it’s not about aesthetics. And I was like I know, cuz it is about my poor organs and the very specific, you know, ailments and things that I’ve done to myself that losing some pounds would be better all-around because of so you know, I’m just reaching for diabetes. My mom is diabetic and I have fatty liver. And here we go. We gotta you know, gotta start it up again.

SuChin Pak  04:30

But you’ve been starting up, right? Like I’ve been watching some of your some of your vids.

Kulap Vilaysack  04:42

What DR. Becker would like is for me to make it a daily practice, you know? Yeah, yeah. Deep, deep question. I am athletic and I rest on the laurels of my muscles instead of doing the cardio activities that would be good for me in every which way. And so guys, I’m a work in progress and discipline is what I’m reaching for. What I’m not lacking is every little equipment do dad, Su, as you know, I have a gorgeous home gym that I have made to my liking but apparently not liking enough to get my little booty down the stairs to make it a more littler booty. So that’s where I’m going to be, Su. I’m going to talk about things that are on my body. I’m going to talk about, you know, that great looking gym. Su, set the table, what is Su bringing today

SuChin Pak  05:43

Yeah, I mean, I guess what I certainly got tripped up because I knew we were doing a routine. But as I was writing down the things that I consider a part of a routine, I was like, I’m not sure that this is part of an exercise routine. Do you know what I mean? Like I do my things to prepare and exit out of exercise. So I brought some things to the table.

Kulap Vilaysack  06:09

No, I think that’s right. I think that’s right, yeah. Let’s get into it. So you said things that one wears and apply. So in terms of workout wear, the most important piece for me is the game changer that I’ve shared before. So it’s the panache sports bra. It’s got great shape and support, no bouts. And you know that for my TAs, we got to keep them we got to keep them where they’re at. Otherwise, they’re swinging high and low. And that is distracting. That is distracting for things to be coming at your face. All athletes can say that and would agree. And for outfits, I generally go loose up top and tie it on bottom like I do a T-shirt. I really like these, the brand is called Allo, I like these bike shorts or leggings. You know, put those on and the T shirts like you know, maybe I got a, you know, our former guests, Ronny Chang, and there are a lot of you know, freebies that were sent to me. You know, some political T shirts. That can be anything really.

SuChin Pak  07:21

So it’s a schwag t shirt on top. Nice biker short on the bottom. Is there something about the Allo biker short, that’s different than say, the cotton biker shorts I wear as underwear.

Kulap Vilaysack  07:33

Yeah, I’m gonna want Generally I would say I like for working out more of a performance fabric. So not so loose. It’s gonna have a bit of […] in it. It’s gonna be a little bit of hold. And in part, you mentioned it, you wear your cotton biker shorts as underwear, you wear them as swimwear, you wear them as sleepwear, so it does make sense for you to transition that into sort of work out where but for me, I like to kind of like compartmentalize and, you know, this guy is for this guy, you know? And that’s what we’re different.

SuChin Pak  08:14

You know what I mean? This is what you want to get into a friendship where everything that you do that’s just not good, right or off is said with such non-judgmental, you know, noticing, you know, […] I appreciate that, that, you know, you’ve accepted the way that I do.

Kulap Vilaysack  08:37

I have accepted you now. It’s not devoid of judgment. It’s just what it was. I mean, it’d be boring to have the same reaction. You know, it’s more like that.

SuChin Pak  08:49

We’ve settled into that. Okay. All right.

Kulap Vilaysack  08:52

That’s my leggings, so now you know now I’m going to put on socks, I almost exclusively and I don’t know Su, I don’t know how this happened but I almost exclusively have bombas for socks. And they’re one of those companies that I feel like Tom started it I could be wrong. Where you buy one and then they donate one. But they are actually a really great again I use the word performance socks and they’re great for with them. I do a lot of like those no show footie socks and I like the ones that are for working out, because they have a little bit of a cushion for the back of the heel. But lately I think this year I got in I got like, a pack of slushy socks for an optional almost 80s look with leggings. And I think I got those socks from former guests. Abby Arad I think guys by the way, here’s a game changer. Go on Abby’s @MyStylistSays. Just go to her links. Check out her Amazon shop if you are okay with shopping at Amazon and just look at the stuff in her kind of like quote unquote store. There’s just a lot of like game changing items there including the sandals. These heeled, kind of mule sandals that are Dead Ringers for the Bottega Veneta shoes, the Bottega Veneta shoes that are like $1,200. Abby has got some shoes there that are $45. And guys, they’re actually comfortable as a heel. Anyway, anyways, to the side. I want to finish off the last thing that is on my body, which is I got a pair of pocos. You. I did I did too. But I returned them because they were too big in size and design. So I can handle so hit the link of the shoe. I can’t handle and I picked it knowing like, oh, this is going to be oversized, you would prep me right? So I can’t handle the extra-large soul makes them look the same size as Scott’s size 11 shoes. So there’s two things like I should have gotten an eight and a half instead of a nine. But then also the soul comes out by design. And I have photos in. And so if you look at the photos below, there’s a picture of my normal Adidas is to the left, the Hokas. And then yeah, in the middle.

SuChin Pak  11:40

Those are new balance. Oh my God, they’re so much bigger.

Kulap Vilaysack  11:43

And then the next picture is Scott shoe is on the right. And the hokas are on the left. Okay, wait, so a new pair is coming that I think, won’t be so they’ll comment is, you know, eight and a half. And also they’re not, the sole isn’t so big.

SuChin Pak  12:03

Okay, so but when you put them on, just to try them on.

Kulap Vilaysack  12:07

They were so comfortable. I wore them for a full day. But I was tripped out but like when I’m going down the stairs, they’re hanging over the stair. You know what I’m saying?

SuChin Pak  12:20

And wait, side note, you had told me because we were texting about the Hokas, that with your Rakuten, you were getting 4% back and so I ordered more Hokas that weren’t as big as the Hokas that I have on now, which I love.

Kulap Vilaysack  12:38

I’m about to brand. once you got them, I was noticing them. I never noticed them before. And I was like, oh, my friend Rita has them. And my friend Ryan has them. And it’s crazy that I didn’t notice that my friend Ryan, wore bright electric blue, and his Hoka emblazoned on the side. And I was like, oh, I guess I’m looking for them now.

SuChin Pak  13:02

No, a little bit they’ve turned that corner where it’s, we’re all you know, a joke. But if they weren’t so comfortable, you know, we wouldn’t be ordering them in bulk. So that’s amazing. I’m so glad that that you are on the Hoka bandwagon it only validates. Of course I have the largest as you know the thickest, largest, Hokas.

Kulap Vilaysack  13:27

Did you look at these? The ones that I’ve got. They’re bigger. The soles are bigger. Look at it again.

SuChin Pak  13:40

Let me just see what the compared to, they may be a little bit bigger.

Kulap Vilaysack  13:47

Like the other thing, too, is like notice how the heel is so much like It’s like half a size larger on that end. So it would also kind of tripped me up of like it would kind of stick to the back of the stair as I was going down. So now I’m over the stair […]

SuChin Pak  14:05

Yeah, it’s dangerous. You could have a Hoka accident. No, that’s not what we want.

Kulap Vilaysack  14:08

And I was like, oh, I kind of liked that. It’s like exaggerated. I’m like gonna go for it. And then I was like, oh my god, it’s too much. Too high, too high. And the last thing I’ll say before and I want to hear the things that you put on your body is I got an Apple Watch. When I went home to Minnesota, I got it so that I frilly for the activity app. There’s so much you can with the app watch. You can check your oxygen levels you can, there’s so many things, high tech things that you can do. But the reason why I got it was like oh, I want to do this activity app and I you know of course I get you know a gold one, with a gold band, magnetic watch band I will say that that gets loose during workout so on its way is a more appropriate banned for working out because what happens is like the especially if I’m like kickboxing it just starts to loosen up. And then here’s me struggling trying to put it on. But I really do love the Apple Watch, there is also a for other people who have Apple Watches not only can you kind of like monitoring compete with them. In the activity app, there is also this I want to say intercom, but that’s not correct. It’s a walkie talkie app so that I can walk you to hockey with them too. So that’s something that I like to do with my sisters when they don’t want it.

SuChin Pak  18:14

I am going to start things off with a routine something that I do before so I want you to click on the last two links. Either one, you can get these pretty much anywhere. They’re two different nasal sprays and I want to talk about the importance of nasal spray. I know that this is an exercise routine episode. This is what we’re doing. So the two nasal sprays are the pressure is all natural, sterile nasal spray. And the NeilMed NasaMist Sinus Spray.

Kulap Vilaysack  19:05

I’m familiar with NeilMed because I get the neti pot.

SuChin Pak  19:10

Yeah, and the neti pot is great, but sometimes you don’t I mean, you want to do something that’s

Kulap Vilaysack  19:16

That’s quicker. That’s a whole that’s a whole to do. And that’s when I really need it. Yeah.

SuChin Pak  19:21

And so these are two nasal sprays. Now the reason why I, when I exercise so my form of exercise, as you all know lately has been doing long walks, the walkersons, walkie, walkie. And when I go on my walker since I’ve noticed, I’m not an allergy person, but when you’re outside for a long period of time, especially if it’s dry heat, which is a lot of what California is these days. I was noticing that like wow, like I need something to lubricate my sinuses. And so I started to do this, now I’ve always done the sprays before I go to bed. And then during COVID, I kind of got into the routine of doing it in the morning as well. But now I’ve added it also before my walks. And this has helped me. Really the allergies, the pollen, the dryness of it and the comfort, you know, of it. These nasal sprays are fantastic. And so I’m going to, your guys are going to see that on our Instagram. And I want you to go to this one because I think this is a really good one that everyone should know about, go to the very last. I believe it’s the very last link. Let me make sure I get you to the right product. Yes, it’s called Xlear. And this one has xylitol in it. And Xylitol is known as a natural, anti-bacterial. You know, product. And I’m telling you this, you guys, the second you start to feel a little off. You feel a little sick. You feel a little bit rundown. Use this. This is one of those things that isn’t going to hurt you. That is you know, it’s just like, you know, I use the xylitol, you know, mouthwash, which is a game changer. Your mouth feels so clean, it kills the bacteria. And again, this is a nasal spray. So what I’ll do is I’ll do the saline spray, and then I’ll do this Xlear xylitol spray, I like to start off an exercise routine with some nasal spray is what I’m saying. Yeah, this is part of the prep.

Kulap Vilaysack  21:33

I’m adding these to cart.

SuChin Pak  21:36

And then we’re talking about things that we wear. And you know what I wear when I exercise, we don’t need to go through that. It’s what I wear when I go to sleep. And when I get up, it’s the same thing. So I’m going to add to that list. Just a few things that have made my workouts, my walks really just a lot easier. The first link is to a site called mochi things. Asian inspired I don’t know accessories. And this is SOM SOM Drink Crossbody Bag. Because when you’re going on hikes when you’re going on long walks, again, try whether you get thirsty. So it’s not only for your water bottle, your nasal spray, but it’s also for your phone. Because I cannot do a two hour walk an hour and a half walk with a phone in my back pocket with a phone in my front pocket tugging and pulling on things. I also don’t want to bring a purse like who’s walking, who’s exercising with a purse. So I had tried different things I had tried like little cellphone bags that you put in and I was doing that crossbody and then I was like holding my water bottle. And I was like well this doesn’t feel right. And so this little kneaded bag, if you just wanted to put your water bottle in it is great. But actually I use it just for the essentials of what you need. And this is like great for exercising when you’re not in the gym like you’re doing outdoor activities.

Kulap Vilaysack  23:14

So let’s talk about these cute characterize, these googly eyes that are on it, which is so adorable, and is reminding me of my new favorite movie, everything everywhere all at once. This is cute.

SuChin Pak  23:27

They have a lot of cute things on here. And then we talked about Abby. Abby Arad has been on our show, has been a friend to the pod. She had gifted us at the beginning of the pandemic, as we were all kind of just taking walks is our only form of exercise. It’s called the best hat. You guys, she just restocked. It’s $100, this thing sells out all the time. And then she takes her months to restock again. So I’m just telling you that now it is available on her website, your stylist says. And this is a great hat. This is a hat that will cover all the way down your neck. Do you know what I mean? Like if shades everything so it’s a great walking hat. It’s a great beach hat. It’s just a fantastic hat. But the thing that I added to cart and I actually added a few of these to cart because my mom is now walking with me is she’s got a visor version of it, for $45. Again, it’s stocked right now on her site, and I’m telling you these things sell out so fast. And this has the same kind of brim as the perfect hat. But it’s just in the visor form so it’s not as hot so that’s really what I was looking for. Because you know, you can heat up as you’re taking these long walks. So those are the two things.

Kulap Vilaysack  24:52

I gotta bite the bullet here and get the visor.

SuChin Pak  24:55

You gotta get the visor and I mean, I got three of them. I got one as a gift. I got one from my mom and then I got one for myself because when she had told us about the visor, it had been sold out for a while and so I just went recently to check in and it’s all back in stock. It’s a fantastic looking, it’s a straw visor, but it’s not like crunchy granola. It’s very to loom. Okay, it’s gonna give you know, it’s gonna give you some sort of a captain vibe. This is sophisticated.  And that’s what I’m wearing.

Kulap Vilaysack  27:39

Let’s talk about the great looking gym I have, it’s a white matte black paradise. We’ve talked about the machines I have; I have a treadmill of a peloton; I have a mirror but I thought maybe I would focus in on some of the other stuff I have. Su, you know that I have kickbox for many years. I’m hoping to get back in on it again, to get back into it again I should say and a lot of things that I’m going to describe from this point on have everything to do with the advice and the influence, one of my dear friends and trainer Kendra Smith and Kendra Smith is just this badass champion and businesswoman she has a studio in Highland Park called Forge LA that’s where our dear friend Naomi Scott works out there’s you know Mary Elizabeth Ellis you know a lot of Star Power guys love star power. Premium content. So I love pro boxing supplies, pro boxing supplies, the one that I go to is in Studio City, but they’re an online vendor as well. That’s where I get hand wraps. That’s where I get my boxing gloves. And not only do I get those basics, I in my gym have a free standing heavy bag. That’s for kicking that’s for punching. I also have a heavy hanging bag and a kick shield. And then what’s new in to my collection is our focus minutes. So Su, I think maybe you should ask me any questions that you might have in terms of the sort of kickboxing sort of world.

SuChin Pak  30:12

Yeah, I mean, the thin is with kickboxing, I mean, the equipment, we’ve all seen it. I mean, it’s very, it’s iconic, you know, even if you’ve never boxed, I’ve never boxed. You know, in my life. I know what these things do. Like I understand because, you know, you see them in movies and TV shows.

Kulap Vilaysack  30:34

This is a way bigger step up from like, Everlast, which people know Everlast, right? And Everlast, it falls apart. Things start to chip and, and like dandruff, there’s probably a better word to put it, but all of a sudden, you see flaking, your mitts are getting bald, you have pieces of it on the floor, this stuff is really well made. And it’s called pro boxing pros do use this equipment, and then it’s kind of like a middle quality, because of course, there’s even like, you can get very fancy ass, with your boxing gloves, you can go higher than that, than what these price points are. But I think it’s a really solid choice. And I think it’s really good for like, you know, if your kids are getting into it, there’s something that will last that can get beaten up. I mean, because that’s what they have to get, you know, as beaten up like, this is really good. I think a really good brand for the value.

SuChin Pak  31:38

I love that kickboxing is your, is such a big part of your life. You know, I think that there’s something so you know, empowering is the word but it’s like, it allows you to have a certain type of freedom in the way that you move in the world. And it also I think, you know, gives you that kind of connectedness to like, to something that we as women, often we don’t focus on or have told not to focus on, you know, to channel that part of who we are this like powerful. It can be rage filled, it can be, you know, cathartic scream, like that version of ourselves. And I love that that’s such a big part of not only your exercise, but also just kind of who you are. It’s so inspiring.

Kulap Vilaysack  32:32

I think it’s really been thank you, Su, it’s really been missing from my life because it’s also it’s to me, kickboxing is a bit of a moving meditation, I’m not great at meditating. I, in fact, I’m very bad at it. But kickboxing is to me also a spiritual practice and everything that you said. And it’s also something that I share with I’ve gotten my sister’s into. And we’ve been working out together. When I kick her, she flies and it’s so funny and I told Kendra and she says you can’t do that and I was like, well, call kickboxing but the other thing that is new I mentioned these focus mitts is something that Kendra the best I mean, her workouts are amazing because she is so skilled and it is a skill to hold focus mitts, and yeah, and I have been starting to do it with my sister and, its own sort of mental and physical workout is the whole myth and have someone punch you and call them out and say jab, you know? You have to get all that body.

SuChin Pak  33:54

That’s meditation part of it. I so, without even ever having really done it. I so understand. Like, what places has in your life and it’s just it’s, it makes so much sense. Like it’s so incredible. Will you do if you want an Instagram either like a tour or something of your gym because her gym you guys is so phenomenal. It’s so beautiful, so luxe, but it’s also it has everything. You have to also do the tour of, you know because after you work out, you know, you do the sauna. I have been in the sauna and not worked out. And you can do that too. And that’s a workout. I sweated it out in that in the shower. So you have to show people your gym because I think it’s even gotten, you’ve gotten more stuff since I was in there last.

Kulap Vilaysack  34:49

I think so. Something know that I got and here’s some like some key design elements. I got this shoe rack. You can put it anywhere. You put it upstairs, downstairs wherever you want. It is made by open spaces. And it’s just a really good looking entry rack of course I got it a matte black but you can get it in green you can get it in white. I think this is just a good piece to just have by your front door for shoes. But I saw that, you know, beloved […] house and I was like, oh, I need to get that to.

SuChin Pak  35:26

Dana, she’s got all the celebrities, you know? This shoe rack is Insta famous.

Kulap Vilaysack  35:33

100%, yes Dana’s a celebrity, so nice to have like a young person to look at, you know?

SuChin Pak  35:39

To take you to bagels. Get you the shoe rack. Come on now.

Kulap Vilaysack  35:45

She keeps me a little young as you know, I am marching towards death. Okay, so the other design elements, which I think you’ll enjoy is I purchased a tiger decal for the wall from Etsy. And these things you go, will it work, how will it work? What do you, you know, look at this. Look at this tiger.

SuChin Pak  36:07

That’s I’m talking about I really feel like you are, the thing is your visual creature. You know? What you’re doing is you’re making this space enticing for all the senses This is a beautiful, it looks like a hand painted wall mural.

Kulap Vilaysack  36:26

Yeah, it was $60, I got it from Etsy. It’s 44 by 55 inches. It is very fun to look into the eye of the tiger, if you will. I’ve been cue the song. And you know, be lifting weights, the lifting weights while this ferocious being…

SuChin Pak  36:43

Just kicking your poor little sister all around this beautiful gym of yours.

Kulap Vilaysack  36:49

And another fun design element, which I don’t know if you notice when you were here. Let me pull it up, I have a growing wall of champions. And let me share that, it’s by the treadmill. Two of my friends. The aforementioned Kendra Smith, looking very cool with her boxing gloves. And above her is my dear friend Eugene Cordero, really funny actor you’ve seen in a million things maybe most recently in Loki and also Mandalorian. He also kickboxes, and he looks very cool. And then to the left you have me as a character at bat girl. And then to the right is one of my favorite comic books. It’s Kabuki by David Mack. And so Su, I’d love to get a photo of you and walkersons, stretch that on canvas, put it on the wall of champions, or anything like that. So we have Mike Bender take a photo?

SuChin Pak  37:56

One of the things is not like the other but it belongs, it belongs on that wall. And people are going to ask about it. It’ll be a conversation starter. They’ll say hi, I get that. I get that Kendra. Yep, check, bat girl. Yep, check. So this middle aged woman in a in a with a water bag with eyeballs on it. And let’s talk about that.

Kulap Vilaysack  38:22

I love to see an action shot of you with your visor. Yeah, like just walking the streets. An action shot that Bender’s taking and he’s like telling you to do stuff. You’re yelling at him and like your face is scrunched up because he’s doing something about annoys you, like that is an action shot.

SuChin Pak  38:41

Consider it canvased, my friend. It will be shipped for that wall. IT would be an honor to be on that warrior wall.

Kulap Vilaysack  38:51

one thing that I want to give you a heads up on ,Are you familiar with the OfferUp app? Do you know about it? Because it’s new to me. It is both an app for your phone and also a website. But it’s kinda like, it’s like the new Craigslist, my friend told me about it. And the reason why I knew about it because I was like, I bought an Olympic bar for weightlifting and just bare bar. I have it list here, of course, it’s matte black. And then my little sister Alyssa was like, we should get weights. I was like, wow. And she goes yeah, if you get weights, then it’ll be like a real gym. I was like, That’s not cool what you just said.

SuChin Pak  39:38

I got a tiger on the wall bitch.

Kulap Vilaysack  39:40

But since as my therapist told me I’m over functioning. I was like, All right, well, then I’ll get bumper weights. And bumper weights are like an Olympic weights that you would put on a barbell, but they have a little bounce right? So if you slam it on the ground on purpose or not on purpose. It won’t get, there’s a little bit of bounce, but it’s so crazy heavy, right? And so I was like […] you’re a fit young man, where does one get these like weights and he’s like, oh go to offer up. I’m like it’s not a scam. But it’s essentially like Craigslist. It’s like, oh yeah, these people sell stuff in your local area, you can say, you know how many miles you’re willing to go. And he was like, look for these. And there I was on OfferUp communicating with a woman, and then meeting her husband, a corner of seward, and like seward in Hollywood, you know what I mean? Like just driving up, popping my trunk, and looking at all the weights and him putting them in my truck.

SuChin Pak  40:54

He’s your weed dealer.

Kulap Vilaysack  40:57

It was such a fun and interesting kind of thing that I did like a couple of weeks ago. And then proceeded to like, carry them into my gym by myself and set them up. And I was like to my sister see, here, he said..

SuChin Pak  41:19

Are you happy now? This side is going to be on here for a while, we have everything from handsoap to a 1959 Chevrolet Impala for $69,000. You know, so it’s pretty much what people want to get. There’s an iClicker I mean, I love it. Oh, those cowboy boots. I’m gonna get these for Zoey.

Kulap Vilaysack  41:44

And Su, it’s like you can you negotiate. Unless they say firm. Yeah, it’s like it’s a real OBO situation. Like, yeah, and why did that try for cheaper?

SuChin Pak  42:01

Oh, of course. Yeah, of course. You can’t you. I mean, they won’t respect you in some parts of the world. You know? I won’t respect myself. Thank you for that.

Kulap Vilaysack  42:14

Su, one last, we have one last item.

SuChin Pak  42:18

I told you, I do the walking. I’ve talked about the Down Dog app, which is my yoga app that I love to do. I love to do restorative yoga before I go to bed. But this is sort of a new thing. And it was intimidating to me at first until I discovered this website. So you can go ahead and click on Mind and Motion Pilates. Now, when someone says Pilates to me, I’m out. I’m not one of those people. I’m not a dancer. I’m not Gwyneth Paltrow . Yeah, mind in motion is a studio in LA. But she obviously has this, this website that has these really, really focused classes. And they’re focused mat Pilates classes, so you don’t have to have any equipment. So to me, pilates, at least in my introduction of it, as I’m using this website is yoga, but really focused yoga, in some ways. It’s a full body mobility video, and it’s 48 minutes. And so you’ll lay on your side, and you’ll do a stretch, let’s say with your hip socket, but it’s a movement that only moves your hip socket. Do you know what I’m saying? So it’s just focused on that. And then she’ll move into a muscle group that’s in your back and you do a stretch and a move that’s just focused on that muscle, you know, group. And so there’s something very precise about Pilates where yoga for me is very meditative. But Pilates is to me about mobility and strength, which is something that I’ve, as I’m getting older, I see my parents, and one of the first things that goes is just the ability to balance on your two feet. That ability is something that we take for granted. But I think that over time, unless you’re really focusing on mobility and strength, like I think you lose that. And so you know, my workouts and my version of exercise is not going to be heavy at panting and so this is the type of thing that I that really kind of toot my horn, and so I just been really loving it. I love the way that she explained things. I love how focused they are. Anyway, so I reached out to her to thank her and I told her that I was going to talk about it. And I got a code. I know Claire, look at me. […] I love it. So I’ll put it in there but I think she’s going to give us a code and you’ll have 30 day access to a virtual studios. Her name is Megan Thank you Megan and she’s just, you know, it’s her and there is something nice about supporting a studio like this where it is, this is her whole practice, her life is devoted to this, like you’re gonna get that love and that care and that attention.

Kulap Vilaysack  45:17

Yeah, you know, at some point guys, I’m just gonna, I’m gonna put Su’s not gonna like this because you know, I like to put words down and see what happens. I like to manifest things and one of the first things is just to say it. I think in our future, Su will protest immediately after I say it, immediately. But I think there’s some version of add to cart that is a television show. I don’t want to scare her. But one version to me would be mean to maybe even just a segment is us going to various classes. And just you know, in a class that I would love to go with Su, is to do to do like a re-former Pilates class.

SuChin Pak  46:03

I don’t need that. I don’t even know what that means. Oh, I’ve seen those in Windows as I’m driving by.

Kulap Vilaysack  46:13

Yeah, I used to take a lot of reformer Pilates classes. And really, yeah, and the thing is I know you would be anxiety filled, you would talk a lot at the top. You will there’s but then I think you actually doing it, you would enjoy it. Because they look like torture devices. But they’re not.

SuChin Pak  46:34

I like to exercise with no witnesses, to the slaughtering that I’m doing. You know, there’s no pressure. I can stop. Hey, let me tell you, I pause these videos […] some ramen. And then I come back to it. You know, this one workout could last six hours.

Kulap Vilaysack  46:58

Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Normally, people don’t stop and make soup during a workout.

SuChin Pak  47:02

I love a soup break in the middle of a workout. It’s one of my favorite breaks of the day.

Kulap Vilaysack  47:07

I would love you know, like, Su and I we go to South America and to and I would do ayahuasca and we just see what happens. Why would anyone want to see that?

SuChin Pak  47:21

That’s terrifying.

Kulap Vilaysack  47:22

For you, I know why you’re saying it. But I promise you it would be entertaining. And that is the attitude in the natural sort of way that you’re being that we need, don’t change, Su, don’t change.

SuChin Pak  47:38

I think that’s a very small way. I’m not sure that there many people signing up.

Kulap Vilaysack  47:44

I could sell this but no, you won’t let me right now.

SuChin Pak  47:49

No, no, no, no, no, Ku. I want you to focus on you know, I want you to focus on the powerhouse that you are.

Kulap Vilaysack  47:59

I love Drew Barrymore and I want us to be […] show but what if like following you know, we were the lead into Drew Barrymore’s daytime show is what I’m saying. That’s what I’m saying. Maybe Drew is listening right now. The viscount in Bridgerton, you […] protest too much, but in the end, in the end. You will humbled in front of your future contests.

SuChin Pak  48:33

I love it. All right, you guys. Well, we did it. We did another show. I really wasn’t sure as I always am with these routines but from nasal sprays, to kickboxing you know, gloves.
