She talks about her new book “The Age of Magical Overthinking,” and dives into why we add more things into our life when the solution is to pare down (the call is coming inside the house!) But that won’t stop Amanda – or the Aunties – from collecting things that just scratch that itch. Like lemon bells, LED candlesticks and bike figurines that remind her of Amsterdam. To quote Taylor Swift: “I got a blank space, baby…” and I’ll fill it with knick knacks.

Author and playwright Susan Lieu joins the pod this week to create a trifecta of Asian Auntie shenanigans. She talks about writing her first memoir, “The Manicurist’s Daughter,” which chronicles her search for answers after losing her mother to a botched tummy tuck. It’s an emotionally raw conversation that will leave you hopeful that generational healing is just as real as the trauma. Then, the Aunties dive into her cart, which is truly an ode to Costco and its generous return policy. Susan also shares her solution to inflating matcha latte prices.

Don’t turn the channel, SuChin is back on her VJ game to interview the one and only Lamar Woods about his new album. The Aunties and Lamar break down what it means to be a Highly Sensitive Person. HSP POV: You’re living up that rapper life with quality tequila and Prada shopping trips, but ice cubes hurt your teeth and weed dispensaries are stressing you out.

We’re officially kicking off Auntie’s Book Club with the queen of endorphin dressing herself, Tabitha Brown. Tabitha shares all the new things she tried, and learned, through writing her latest book “I Did a New Thing: 30 Days to Living Free.” That includes four little words that are blowing Ku and Su’s minds. Then, SuChin and Tabitha add to cart talking about a transformation that’s come knocking on their doors.

SuChin’s dream guests have finally landed on the pod. The Aunties are joined by Lindsey Weber and Bobby Finger of Who? Weekly.
